The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced that
a ceasefire agreement has been reached with violent
terror sect, Boko Haram.
In line with the ceasefire agreement, the Chief of
Defence Staff, Alex Badeh, has ordered all service
chiefs to comply with the agreement reached between
the government and the sect in all theaters of
operations.
“A ceasefire agreement has been concluded between
the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Jama’atu
Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad (Boko
Haram),”Badeh said.
It would be recalled that the Principal Private Secretary
to the President, Ambassador Hassan Tukur, had on
Friday morning met with Chadian Government officials
as well as representatives of the Boko Haram sect in
N’Djamena in Chad to discuss the ceasefire deal as
well as the release of the Chibok girls.
