Delta State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has spoken: and its verdict humbles!

The Election tribunal in Asaba has dimissed the petition filled by Chief Great Ogboru of the Labour Party challenging the election of Dr. Ifeanyi okowa of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).



In its verdict, Justice Nasir Gunmi averred that the petitioners to adduce creedible evidence to prove the allegation in line with section  31 of the Evidence Act. He further awarded a cost of N150,000.00 against the petitioner.

Chief Great had earlier petitioned the court to nullify the gubernatorial election citing a breach of Electoral Act and guideline for the voting.
