Man City turn down Hoffeinheim's proposal to buy Iheanacho after loan stint

Manchester City have turned down a proposal from Bundesliga side Hoffeinheim to buy Nigerian forward
Kelechi Iheanacho after the end of his proposed loan spell.
Hoffeinheim are presently locked in talks with Manchester City over the 20 year old who has fallen down the pecking order at the Etihad as exclusively reported by this portal last month.
However a deal is far from reached even though the forward has made it clear to City that he is leaving and the club on their part have accepted his decision, they still want him to leave on loan with no option of a permanent transfer in the summer.
The German side want to negotiate a deal that will see the forward spend a loan at the club before moving over permanently next summer if he impresses ‎, they want the fee for his permanent transfer to be agreed as well.
However Manchester City are insisting on a straight loan with no option of permanent transfer, presumably to strengthen their bargaining power if Iheanacho comes good during the course of his loan spell.
