A letter to My enemies (Write yours today)

Dear Enemies,

I write this letter to sympathize with you on how I have treated you all this while. It is unfair to you that despite your efforts to announce your presence in my life, I have completely ignored you, and even till date, I claim your non-existent.



There are days my close friends said they were the real enemies, but I shut them down with more love. Also, sometimes, colleagues and strangers would wear a mask of  your face but that's too easy to discern, a mask never fools me.

I don't understand why you have shown yourself to almost all those around me, and yet, I cannot find you. Whereas you are responsible for the accident that killed my neighbor's daughter, I know the accident that killed my dog was due to the driver's drunkenness, same thing that killed my grandmother.

Whereas everyone blames you when they fail exams and meet misfortune in life, in my case, the true cause has been my lack of preparedness and poor calculations.

I am sorry, you do not exist in  my life, I find it hard to come to terms with your existence. However, how you have entered into the minds and hearts of many people that they blame you for the rain on their wedding day, for the sun rays in their fish pond, for the wind in neighborhood , sometimes, they blame you for the mosquitoes in their house; these attributes accredited to you continues to amaze me.

Finally, since our paths would never cross, I once again reassure myself that you do not exist. Keep hunting those who believe in your existence.
