Sometime in 2007, I read in Vanguard Newspaper about an elderly
woman in Ebonyi state who had a maggot infested breast. How did it happen? The woman
washed her bra, spread them outside a fly perched on the bra and laid egg
inside the cup. Because the woman wore the bra for quite some time, the eggs
found warmth in the ambience of her breast and hatched. Having nowhere to go,
they burrowed into her breast seeking for food.
Why do I recall this incident? Today I received a more
disturbing video. If you are a lady and in the habit of wearing wigs, hanging
it outside for hair and wearing again, think twice. Nothing pays more than a
simple make up. Whereas many would not be able to watch this video till the
end, the message is simple! Once your hair begins to tickle you and feel
scratchy, take the wig or weav-on off.
There’s no harm in being simple and healthy than condemning
yourself to something worse. The lady here is just an incident. What gave you
the impression it can’t be you? She had eggs in her wig hatched and the maggots
burrowed to her hair. She kept scratching and tickling, while complaining of
headache. It only took a miracle to uncover the true cause of her ailment.
Be warned! Always Listen to Your Body!
Secondly, always hot dry your wigs, Iron clothes before
wearing, Change bra every day!
